The Sahara Nomads

Experience the life and toil of the Saharan nomads, a group of people who survive in one of the harshest climates in the world: The Sahara.

The Sahara desert in Northern Africa leaves any lifeform in constant struggle to survive, yet for centuries nomads have wandered the dry landscapes and sandy dunes.

This is their home, a sunbaked lonely wasteland where almost every day is greeted by an unrelenting scorching sun and stinging hot winds.

Through resilience, skillful survival, adaptive nature and efficient utilization of the surround nature these Saharan nomads have learned to live with minimal resources at their disposal.

But how exactly do they do it? To understand their life and gain an insight into their day-to-day experiences, a documentary crew from CGTN Africa sets out to document them in Zarga, Mauritania.
