Britain’s Ancient Tracks with Tony Robinson

Take a walk with Tony Robinson as he explores ancient history along the oldest roads in Britain.

Here, ancient history is recorded behind megaliths, burial sites, ley lines and hidden caves over the course of 5000 years.

Walked by pilgrims and traders, hunters and invaders, Celts and Romans, Saxons and Vikings, each track is bound up in myth, mystery and legend.

Alongside Tony, we’ll piece together these historically rich places and recreate what life was like in ancient and medieval Britain.

In this episode, we’ll visit Britain’s oldest oak trees and the shrine of Thomas Becket. Furthermore, we’ll even uncover a lost battle site of Julius Caesar and marvel at the natural discoveries of Darwin.
