Join in as we take a journey across America to celebrate its diverse music. Hosted by singer and songwriter Aloe Blacc, we’ll trace the roots of America’s music by visiting the country’s unique diversity of cultures and amazingly creative minds. By visiting iconic cities such as New Orleans, Chicago, New York City, Nashville, Memphis, Miami and more, America’s Musical Journey sets the stage for an epic story – all intertwined by music.
Taking in the gargantuan project of encompassing the full scope of all of America’s music is, however, unreachable for the forty minute documentary. Because of this, only certain music genres are showcased in America’s Musical Journey – mostly chosen by our guide and host, Aloe Blacc. These different music genres range from New Orleans jazz, New York hip hop, Nashville country music to many more. These genres are enough to leave a positive mark on the power of music, and how it has shaped our society and history itself. Not just for Americans, but for the benefit of everyone on our entire planet.
