Expedition Antarctica

Join a team of marine scientists as they embark on an unprecedented journey across the Great Southern Ocean and beyond to Antarctica.

Here they seek to explore the lesser known oceans surrounding Antarctica, seabeds which are more alien to us than the surface of Mars.

Together, they’ve joined forces to share the adventure of studying these unexplored marine ecosystems to gain an insight into the unknown.

Isolated from the rest of the world, the marine scientists are cooped up in a research vessel for 50 days. Here they’ll not only study the rich marine biology – but also battle the elements of nature.

In the Great Southern Ocean passages of ferocious storms rule and grueling ice shields the ocean waters barring any ship from sailing them.

But these extremes are the terms laid bare to study the unknown seabed underneath the icy waters.
