Travels with Vasari

Presenter Andrew Graham-Dixon embarks on a quest to follow in the footsteps of the world’s first renaissance art historian, Giorgio Vasari.

His book “Lives of the Artists” is celebrated as, perhaps, one of the most important history books on art from the Renaissance.

Looking through Vasari’s eyes, we’ll retrace his footsteps and show in details the vivid Italian Renaissance art and the fascinating study of the artists who made them.
