Fear and Loathing on the Road to Hollywood, also known as Fear and Loathing in Gonzovision, is a documentary film produced by BBC Omnibus in 1978 on the subject of Hunter S. Thompson, directed by Nigel Finch.
The film contains various interviews on Hunter S. Thompson and seeks to understand the man behind the myth. The documentary also takes a look at the psychedelic road trip journey Hunter S. Thompson and his collaborator, British illustrator, Ralph Steadman took.
Together they traveled to Hollywood via Death Valley and Barstow from Las Vegas – the scene of the pair’s 1971 collaboration.
