What will happen when the last amount of matter disappears from our universe?
Throughout Death of the Last Stars we’ll utilize the latest Cosmological theories and technology, alongside the astronomers and scientists, and investigate what will happen at the very end of our cosmos.
Furthermore, the documentary not only dives into the death of space – it also asks what happens after that.
There are different hypothesises as to how the universe will end, and with it – all stars, galaxies and planets.
One such hypothesis is the “Big Crunch”, Just as the Big Bang started as a cosmological expansion, this theory assumes that the average density of the universe will be enough to stop its expansion and begin contracting – ultimately becoming “nothing” once again.
Another hypothesis, called the the Big Chill or Big Freeze, describes the end of our universe through an ever expanding cosmos.
With an ever expanding universe our cosmos’s fate is to cool as it expands, eventually becoming too cold to sustain life.
