500 Nations sets out to explore the pre-Colombian history of the indigenous civilizations of North and Central America.
The documentary series relies on historical texts, eyewitnesses accounts, pictorial sources and 90ties computer graphic reconstructions to analyze the impressive Native American civilizations which flourished prior to contact with Western civilization.
It also goes into detail about the dramatic and tragic story of the Native American nations’ desperate attempts to retain their way of life. Historically, they were against overwhelming odds.
Although normally broadcast as a 8-part documentary series, you’ll find them bundled up in two episodes here.
