The Hunt for Cleopatra’s Tomb

Join Egyptologist Glenn Godenho and archaeologist Kathleen Martinez as they set out to find the lost tomb of Cleopatra.

Cleopatra VII was a queen of Egypt during the later stages of the Macedonian dynasty that took over the rule of Egypt in the late 4th century B.C.

During her reign, she forged political alliances and became romantically involved with Roman military leaders Julius Caesar and Mark Antony, until her death in 30 B.C.

Cleopatra’s story is often immortalized both by history and Hollywood movies and her tomb has long been sought after. It is an archaeological dream-find Kathleen Martinez hopes to achieve.

However, the location of Cleopatra’s tomb still remains a mystery to this day.

As we visit the forefront of the Egypt’s archaeological excavations, Glenn and Kathleen searches the ancient temple of Taposiris Magna, just west of Alexandria. Perhaps here they’ll find clues to unravel the ancient mysteries.
