“I’m one of the few, if not the only, who hasn’t slipped into the dull existence of make-belief concerning all of this.” He gestures towards the rowdy crowd in the hall in front of him with a pained expression. “These are all lost.”

You look back from the crowd to the Jarl again. You realise then and there that you too have entered this void, jailed from existence.

“And what of you and I,” You ask. “do we slip into eternity with them as well eventually?”

For a moment, his green eyes shift and you see what’s behind them. A dull lifeless and hollow gray. A haze of nothingness anchored to a shell of a body.
