The Chernobyl Podcast: Part One

1:23:45

Set as a companion piece to the HBO-created docu-drama miniseries Chernobyl, The Chernobyl Podcast seeks to flesh out the history behind the nuclear meltdown disaster in Russia during the year 1986.

The podcast hosts are Craig Mazin (creator, writer and executive producer of the miniseries “Chernobyl”) and NPR’s Peter Sagal (host of “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!”). Together they take an in-depth look at adapting the true stories that shaped the scenes, characters and themes depicted in the miniseries.

By contributing historical facts and true stories from the catastrophic disaster, The Chernobyl Podcast methodically pinpoint every detail to the Chernobyl meltdown in a 5-part podcast series.

Apart from showcasing the history, the podcast also details who the brave men and women were that made the incredible sacrifices to save Europe from unimaginable disaster.

In this first part of the The Chernobyl Podcast, we’ll get to hear from show creator Craig Mazin and Peter Sagal what the moments leading up to the Chernobyl disaster in 1986 were like.

The HBO Chernobyl mini series is both available on Amazon Prime and HBO for online streaming.
