Using text from Mexican novelist Carlos Fuentes and ancient Aztec and Mayan poetry, Mexico leads viewers on a visual journey through this country’s rich and varied past and present.

Narrated by Martin Sheen, the film delves into the country’s humble beginnings, being culturally reshaped while being under Spanish colonial rule and finally as an independant nation.

Although the Spanish culture imprinted a lot of changes onto Mexico, characterized through the language, new customs, educational and religious values. architectural and governing bodies, the roots of Mexico was still stuck deep in the Mexican people.

From this hybrid a new culture was born – The Mestizo Society, a term historically used to accept itself as a multicultural country, uniting the new and old world in one.

Join in to explore this world as Mexico goes well and beyond depicting the Mexican culture, their people and their customs of today, tomorrow and yesterday.
