What are the catalysts to a world war? Dan Carlin documents world war one in an epic 6-part hardcore history podcast. In the first Blueprint for Armageddon Dan Carlin dives into the precursor for the war and how it started.
Europe had not seen a major war between all the Great Powers since the downfall of Napoleon at Waterloo in 1815. Yet 99 years later the dam breaks and a Pandora’s Box of violence engulfs the planet.
World War 1 was a global war originating in Europe that lasted from 28 July 1914, to 11 November 1918. Back then it was described as the “War to end all wars”. The war led to the mobilization of more than 70 million military personnel, including 60 million Europeans, making it one of the largest wars in all of history.
