Whistling arrows are useful during hunting, because the effect on animals of an arrow whistling away high above the ground is often to make it stop, curious to see what is in the air.

This gives the hunter time to launch a second arrow, this time with a game head to kill the animal.

These whistling arrows made by inserting an arrowhead of bone in which air channels have been created. When shot, such arrowheads make a very audible sound through the air.

The Aztecs would take the soldiers of their conquered enemies and lay them face up on a sacrificial stone at the top of a step pyramid, carve open their chest with an obsidian-bladed knife like this, cut out their still-beating heart, and offer it to the sun.

The Aztecs believed that without an ample supply of heart sacrifices, the sun would cease to move across the sky and plunge the world in to eternal darkness.

RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner operated by the White Star Line that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean in the early morning hours of 15 April 1912, after striking an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City.

Of the estimated 2,224 passengers and crew aboard, more than 1,500 died, making the sinking one of modern history’s deadliest peacetime commercial marine disasters.

This was the last thing some of those on board Titanic ate.

While the owner of this skull is unknown, the shop from which this was found, claimed that a traveller had sold it to them.

He added that the man got this skull from his ancestor, a doctor who traveled throughout Asia to help those in need.

At one point he treated an abbot in a Buddhist Monastery in Tibet, and in return the munks gave him the carved tibetan skull.

Studied by historians and experts, one Tibetan Khenpo (Monk-Professor) explained such skulls were carved a long time ago to take a curse off a family or to guide the soul of a mislead human being on the right path.
