Under the wings there\&#8217;s around 4 or 5 rows of rods and control surfaces / wing flaps. An electric rod is charged to 20,000 volts, ionising the air around it. Behind the rod on the flap is the negative node, which is charged to -20,000 volts, creating a magnetic field. The ionised particles rush to the negative pole, and run into non-ionised (air) particles along the way, causing a breeze.</p>
