Great Nature: Land of Extremes – Ethiopia

Great Nature: Land of Extremes – Ethiopia is a Japanese documentary which journeys to the country of Ethiopia to investigate its extreme nature.

Ethiopia has temperatures which soar to more than 55 degrees Celsius (131 degrees Fahrenheit) while at the same time cooler high-altitude lakes feed some of Africa’s most spectacular waterfalls.

The country also harbours a large amount of volcanic activity which has created its uniquely diverse terrain for the last 30 million years.

To figure out this extreme nature, our Japanese documentary crew risks life and limb to come face-to-face with the driving forces that are still sculpting the landscape to this day.

As parts of the region continue to sweat, local people adapt to survive.

Ethiopia is a land of extremes and it soon becomes clear that nature hasn’t finished her work here yet.
